Our first challenge was to make a dress with our own choice of theme and inspiration. I instantly thought of doing a Barbie-inspired dress. Who else would I get inspiration from anyway? Lol. I really love Barbie, and since our first lesson was draping a princess-line bustier, Barbie was the perfect inspiration. This bustier fits the theme cus I noticed in the Barbie 50th anniversary collection that most of her dresses consist of simple silhouettes.
